Group Linking of Allowances & Deductions
- An already existing allowance or deduction can be loaded as a group to a large number of employees in one go.
- Loading an allowance or deduction to an employee doesn't mean you automatically pay it to them - it just means you can in future.
 | Go to Allowances - Load To A Group and select the existing allowance or deduction to load to a group of employees. |
 | In most cases, you would leave the default units for both This Pay and Usual Pay as nil. This loads the allowance or deduction to the group of employees but does not pay anything automatically. It just means the allowance or deduction is loaded against the group of employees, so the decision to use it is made later and on a per employee basis. |
- This feature is most useful for clients who employ lots of casual employees and want the ability, but not the obligation, to easily pay an allowance or deduction to anybody in future.
- The routine is potentially dangerous if you accidentally load an allowance with default units against all employees. For this reason, we re-iterate our point about Nil being a good selection for the default units.
