Ace Payroll for Windows includes the most comprehensive and dynamic systems for Holiday Pay, Sick Pay and Lieu Day recording available on the New Zealand market. They are so revolutionary we have protected them with NZ Patent 299289.
When designing the holiday pay section of Ace Payroll we had the following design criteria No user setup required
It is important to us that the user has to do nothing to activate the holiday pay procedures. You do not have to
load a payment method, accrued holiday pay or days owing, or anything else prior to using Ace Payroll. All you need to do is go ahead and make up your wages.
All decisions made when paying holiday pay When calculating holiday pay Ace Payroll scans all records
of gross earnings and holiday pay paid, and using the information assembled reports on holiday pay owing. It is because of this dynamic design that you can change an individual employee's holiday pay calculation
method well after they have been paid their initial wages. You can make changes as you pay them their holiday pay, which is the most logical time that you would want to make them.
Instantly report on leave owing to a single employee A brief report on all leave owing to a single
employee is instantly available on the leave page of the employee modification screen. Accrued leave to show on payslips if required
Some employers like to show accrued leave on employee's payslips. An option has been included in the payslip setup to allow this.
Report on total leave owing with estimated financial liability It is becoming more common for employers
to account for unpaid holiday pay as a liability on their accounts and sometimes include it in their annual profit and loss account. Ace Payroll has a report that does this.
Ability to handle different holiday pay calculation methods Although there is only one Holiday Pay Act,
and everyone should theoretically be paid exactly in accordance with the Act, in practice many different holiday payment systems have evolved. Ace Payroll can be customised to calculate holiday pay in all the ways we know of that are currently used.
