Guide to Holidays Act 1981

Note: This is the text of the old Act that remains in force until 31st March 2004. From 1st April 2004 leave is governed by the Holidays Act 2003

Section 29 Modification by Order in Council of requirements as to pay for work on holidays and Sundays

This section says that sections 24 to 28 can be changed by Order in Council rather than requiring new legislation.

Legislation

29.1 The Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, modify with respect to any specified factory or specified factories, or with respect to any specified class or specified classes of factories, subject to such conditions or requirements as he thinks fit, all or any of the requirements of sections 24 to 28 of this Act.

29.2 Any Order in Council under this section may be at any time in like manner amended or revoked.

29.3 Every Order in Council under this section shall have effect according to its tenor.
