From the front screen select
Setup then Company Defaults then Pay Frequency.
Select the new pay frequency. Ace Payroll defaults to this automatically in future.
Change each employee's pay frequency
If a pay frequency has never been specified for an employee then their pay
frequency automatically changes to the new default pay frequency without any input from yourself.
If at some stage you have specified an employee's frequency, change it to the new frequency.
Accordingly, from
Employee Maintenance scan every employee checking they are set to the new frequency.
Change the next pay date
From the front screen, click the currently showing pay date.
A dialog is
shown from which to select the new frequency and enter the new paydate.
Check employee usual hours
Finally from within Calculate Pays scan every employee and if usual hours are
entered for an employee ensure these reflect the new pay frequency.
For example, if you had 40 ordinary hours entered for someone on a weekly pay, change these hours over to 80 if they are now fortnightly.
Note that you do nothing for salaried staff - Ace Payroll automatically changes salaries to reflect the new frequency.
We changed our pay frequency from Weekly to Fortnightly and are sure we
changed over the employees correctly. Why is "Weekly" still shown as the frequency each time we run Ace Payroll?
Chances are you did not change the Default Pay Frequency. Whatever
frequency is set here comes up each pay period by default. See change default frequency above.
