Error 11011 can be caused by Norton Internet Security and other Norton products
when sending outgoing email from Ace Payroll.
By default Norton blocks all outgoing messages sent by any program
that it does not recognise. This is intended to stop email worms from sending out messages, but it also stops Ace Payroll from sending messages.
To solve this problem you need to tell Norton that Ace Payroll is a "trusted" program for sending emails. To do this:
As a check first of all you can quickly disable Nortons by right clicking on the Nortons icon in the bottom bar and selecting Disable Norton Internet Security and Disable AntiVirus Auto-Protect. (We are using Windows XP). Then do the Ace
Payroll test email.
To allow internet access for Ace Payroll, open Nortons, click on Personal Firewall and click the
Configure button.
Then click on Programs. Ace Payroll should be somewhere near the top.
Click on Ace Payroll and select Permit All. Then click
OK and close down Nortons.
