I am trying to email my payslips but I get error messages and the payslips don't
send. Our emails go through a server, and we use Microsoft Exchange Server.
All clients we have encountered with Microsoft Exchange Server have failed in
their initial attempt to email payslips having struck one or both of the two issues described below.
These are the only two issues we've encountered so we recommend checking them both.
In Ace Payroll enter the server name in the SMTP Host field.
In other words, rather than
smtp.xtra.co.nz enter the name of your server.
The following screen assumes your server is called aceserv3.
Ensure the emailing computer has outbound SMTP access given to it by Microsoft Exchange Server.
